About Cooky Bysura …
Cooky’s baking journey started in the Summer of 2020, when like most everyone around her, she found herself with some time on her hands and in need of a hobby to keep her busy.
Fast forward to one fateful day, when her youngest child (of 3 boys!) demanded to have a macaron cookie for a snack as they were strolling around the mall. When she refused to give in to the impulse of a 4-year-old wanting such a luxury treat that he had never seen or eaten before, she was quickly met with a temper tantrum that only a 4-year-old knows how to throw.
When they got back home, and with nothing scheduled on the calendar for the rest of the day, Cooky asked herself the ultimate question that would change the trajectory of her life over the next couple of years, “How hard is this really to make?” Turns out, it’s REALLY hard.
Thus, MoMster Macarons was born! Over the next couple of years, Cooky spent countless hours (and many, many failed batches) pouring herself over books, blogs, and videos, with the sole obsession of trying to perfect this little, finicky French dessert.
Now, she gets to share her love for making macarons, one that uniquely combines her creativity with her technical ability, to bring you this elusive dessert. And she dedicates it ALL to her three young boys, who now get to say to her, “See Mom, temper tantrums work!” :)
